I think it’s more important to be kind when others aren’t. It’s easy to be kind when someone else is, but much harder when they’re not. But if we all stop being kind because everybody isn’t, then no one will end up being kind at all, and what sort of world would that be?

I don’t believe it is saying only be kind because everyone else is too. It is saying be kind because everyone else is also a child if God.

Everyone is a creation of God, but not everyone is a son of God. We have to receive Him and believe on His name to become a son of God. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12. But we sure can be kind to everyone because God created them, and be kind so they will want to receive what we have!
Made me think of that amazing Tim McGraw song; “Humble and Kind”. wow. Love that song.
