Adoption Song
My Mr. wrote and recorded a song to our future ‘Sweet P’ (P is for Palmer!), and it’s called Love Collides. It’s an acoustic guitar-meets-piano style ballad. It’s very tender, and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed the process of creating it!

Click the play button below to have a listen:
There’s a chance Sweet P is out there waiting for us right now (our age range is newborn-4 years), so we want to take this opportunity to thank you for joining us on this journey, and for being such a special a part of our little one’s story!

As the mother of an adopted son from Korea ( who is now 16 years old :0)…. This beautiful song brought back the memories of the hope and love I felt on my journey. Adoption has been the most profound experience in my life …a child that is born in your heart…my heart has never been fuller and the joy my son has brought to my life unmatched!
Love and prayers to you both!

Had to nose in here!
We have two boys from Korea (4 and 7). I love hearing of other Mamas who know “this” gift! 16 feels far away, but I’m sure it’s close than I might think.
All the best to you and your son!

Donating now. Thankfully my husband and I decided that my blog “earnings” are “fun” money, which for me translates to being able to give to causes that I care about. With 3 kids, I know how much your heart can feel like it’s bursting before you have your child. I know you will get your Sweet P, the right child for you.

Lovely. What a nice way to share your dreams & your talents. As for donations, I know that asking for them can be uncomfortable for a lot of folks — but one way to think of the process is as fundraising not for the two of you, and not even for adoption. You are raising money for your child, to provide your child with the best home that he or she could possibly have, to ensure that your child will have the richest love imaginable: your love. (Admission here: I am not religious, so I do not want to sound hypocritical, but I am guessing that you personally might also add God’s love to that last sentiment, of course.) People raise money for lots of things (causes, cures, animals & disasters, just to name a few); you are raising money for your child. I cannot think of anything more worthy of a donation.
-
Stephanie says:Jan 14, 2013 at 12:43 pm
From one adoption mom to another soon to be….may God Bless you through your journey. Your song brought tears to my eyes and wonderful memories of bringing home our 3 babies. Thank you for sharing your hearts. I hope that our donation can help…even in just a small way. I love the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel chapter 1. She wept and cried out to the Lord and He blessed her. She named her son Samuel, which means “God Heard”. My youngest is named Samuel. God heard me when I wept and I know He has heard you.

I have enjoyed reading your blog for quite a while and my heart has been tugged over many things posted there. I appreciate so much your willingness to help others in every kind of facet in your life. The song I just downloaded is absolutely beautiful and I hope it brings your little one closer to you. I was studying in Genesis this morning about how long Abraham and Sara waited for their son and realized God’s timing is not always what we are expecting. Your reward for your faithfulness is being prepared for you while you wait. All my best!

Love your heart for adoption and God’s talent to express it in this beautiful song!!!
I am the adoption manager at Loving Shepherd Ministries. I help families at the beginning stages of adoption with research, information on eligible programs, agency research, etc. First, I wanted to say what a fantastic Christian agency that Lifeline is
I recommend this agency to our families. Second, we have a Funding handout which lists organizations that help adoptive parents with funding for an adoption. If you would like this handout, please let me know.
Thanks and many prayers,

This is such a great idea!! You should also look into adoption through the foster care system. In Texas the most you pay in adoption fee’s is $1500, but most adoptions are free!!! The kids range from 0 to 18 and there are more than 6000 kids legally free for adoption every day. In Texas, the kids also get free college tuition, which can be a huge help if you can help out a sibling group or teens!!! Anyway, most people don’t know about all of the help there is to families wanting to help kids in care:-) Good luck on your journey!!!

So very happy for you!!! My husband and I are one tearful, yielded prayer into our adoption journey. :0) We have chosen the same age. It’s so hard to go to bed at night when I just want to rock our child to sleep. We are faced with the same obstacle as you with financing all of it. But our God will do far above what we could ever ask or think!! He WILL supply all our needs! As Hudson Taylor said “God’s work done God’s way will never lack God’s supply.” I will be praying for you.

I LOVE IT! Around Christmas time, I was struggling with the feeling of not being able to “do more” for others. I have a little etsy shop that had been pretty neglected, and I decided it’s time to get back at it, and donate part of my profits to worthy causes. There of course are SO many opportunities to donate, that I didn’t know where to begin, and decided I would let God “tell” me what felt right with each donation. I was thrilled when I opened this email today and was “told” this is the one I needed to help. Although I can’t give a large amount, I know that others have been spoken to also, and this will happen for you. I have several friends who have adopted, and know through their experiences how joyous it is. Can’t wait to read about your happy ending.

I really love this song. It is a sweet song for your little one you haven’t met, but it could also be very relatable to any new parent. I found myself thinking of all of my own children as they were newborns and small toddlers. The feelings are so strong. Thanks for sharing and best of luck to you on this adventure. I wonder who God is preparing for you…Exciting to think about!!

Just donated in honor of my daughter’s 1st Birthday and hopefully your own child’s Birthday someday soon! What a beautiful, heartfelt song. Little Vivianne loved it! We pray that many blessings come your way throughout this journey. Your child will be blessed with wonderful, faithful parents. <3

Wow! I am typing through tears as I listen to this beautiful song over and over again.
On Tuesday I will be induced at 37 weeks pregnant with a baby girl that I’ve dreamt about my whole life. 20 years ago I was told by a doctor that I likely would not be able to have children of my own and now here I am counting down the final days until she arrives.
This song truly touched my heart and I look forward to playing it and singing it for my sweet little one very soon.
Thanks for sharing your talent! I pray that you are able to raise enough to complete the adoption process!
God bless you both, and your future child as well! -

We love the song! We are currently in the process of adopting two from Haiti. We have been matched with a 3 year old girl and her bio brother, a 7 month old boy. (We also have two children at home…a 9 and 7 year old).
We have been amazed at God’s provision and faithfulness. Finances are a difficult part of the journey…God has blessed us through many people already. I know He will provide for you too! Praying for your journey…difficult, beautiful journey! Keep trusting!
And by the way…my husband and I got to meet our kiddos (Haiti is a little different than other countries…)the love for an adopted child is the same as for a bio child!
So excited for your family!!

Such a beautiful song…and one day your little one will listen and know Dad wrote that in anticipation of their arrival.
Love to you both! -

oh my, you guys.
my heart just EXPLODED with worship and glory to the One Who holds all of this knowledge and unknown answers for each and every one of us in the palm of His hand.
my heart aches for the little ones out there who need loving, Godly homes.
my only consolation to their situations is that God is the Father to the fatherless and He cares so deeply about each one. praise Him!
my husband just sent me a pic of two orphaned Haitian siblings.
we are not sure if God has adoption for us in the future, but we are open to it, and waiting for His answer.
thank you for bearing your heart and soul to us and sharing this beautiful work of art.
what a blessing to have this to cherish and look back upon when you are holding your precious little one.

It’s just amazing to me what God will do when we take that leap of faith and make the first step on the journey that He has for us! My husband and I, like you, don’t know HOW it will happen, but we are believing that God will add to our family tree, too! These truly are “BABY STEPS”! Walking right there along with you and praying for peace, strength, and courage the whole way!

Amazing song!!!
Adoption can be an intense ride at times, but it is the most rewarding thing you will ever experience. We adopted our daughter a year ago, she came home from the hospital with us at 36 hours old. I’ll be praying for your family!! -

Your song is unbelievable! I have just found your blog because my family just moved to Tybee Island and I have been looking for ideas on renovations/decorating. My precious boy was adopted at birth 9 years ago! This song says it all!!! Good luck on your journey!!

Just catching up on your blog and listened to your song. So beautiful! I’m in tears after hearing it. I’ve never adopted, but have 6 babies of my own and thinking about the precious children waiting for his/her forever family and what if it were one of mine. There’s nothing quite as wonderful as being a parent and I’m so happy for you and your journey. Praying that all goes smoothly.

WOW! Just heard your incredible, heartfelt song! I’ve been where you are, and am now at home with my 3 little adopted miracles! It will happen, and God is definitely In Control! It’s an agonising wait, but when you lean on God for His perfect Peace and Hope, it’s a journey not taken alone!
All the best for your wait, and Thank You for your precious gift of that song that will definitely touch lives!!

Just donated! So excited for you guys! Can’t wait to see your new family photos – you’ll be taking them before you know it! I’m sure God is orchestrating all of this perfectly!! Hugs, Jennifer
