**This giveaway has ended. Thanks so much to everyone who entered!**
Y’all know about my friend Lucy’s jewelry, right?

For those that don’t, she makes her creations from architectural salvage and vintage jewelry and I am just crazy about the stuff!

She sent me this necklace recently, and I literally gasped when I first saw it:

Ya see that strand of cream & gold vintage leaves that make up the right side of the chain? My Grandma Evelyn had a necklace just like that, and man does it makes me smile every time I see it. 🙂
Here’s another one of my favorites:

My wedding anniversary is 6/25, so wearing that one makes me extra smiley, too. 🙂

Since Mother’s Day is right around the corner, Lucy and I thought it would be fun to host a Lucy Lockets giveaway here this week!
The person whose name is (randomly) selected can choose any one of Lucy’s pieces (up to $75). You can see all of her beautiful jewelry at Lucys Inspired, and if you’d like to enter for a chance to win one here, just leave a mom-related message in the comment section below this post. It could be a note about being a mom, or a special story about your mom or grandma- anything that you’d like to share to celebrate the upcoming holiday. 🙂
The giveaway will be open until Wednesday, April 30th at 9am (CST) and I’ll include the winner’s name at the end of this Friday’s post. Good luck and happy Monday!

PS- Instagrammers: Lucy’s Instagram feeds (LucysInspired and Lucys_Lockets) are two of my favorites to follow along with, too! 😉

Being a mom has given me such a greater appreciation for my own mom and all of the work that she put into raising me and my three sisters. It is the hardest, yet most rewarding, job I have ever had! 🙂
I LOVE her stuff! I always find a piece or two that reminds me of my grandmothers as well. Always great to have those little tidbits of reminders of wonderful women in our lives!
xo Heidi
I love being a mom to three wonderful gils!
I’m currently six months pregnant with our second baby (who coincidentally we are naming Lucy!) and I could use some beautiful jewelry to make me feel a little more pretty 🙂
I love the new necklace. Isn’t it great how jewelry can tie you to a memory of a family member. My most incredible mother (still living) passed down her opal ring that was her grams to me. I love the ring but more so I love the note that she sent with the ring. I love to look at her handwriting. It reminds me of all the loving things she did for me, all the times she wrote checks for things I wanted to do even though money was tight or the notes she wrote excusing me from school after she had taken care of me while I was sick. I see her handwriting and think of coke on crushed ice to settle a sick stomach, violin lessons to help her daughter get to the next level, outfits for special occasions and a host of other things but most importantly I think of her love.
My mom has been helping me plan my wedding for the last few months. As the date approaches, I realize I never respected or loved her more than I do at this stage in my life, knowing how much she’s sacrificed for me, and how much she clearly loves me and wants the best for me.
I am so fortunate to still have my Mother this Mother’s Day, but I sure miss my grandmother. Hug ’em while you can!
Lovely creations!
Being a mom is, without a doubt, the BEST job in the world! My “babies” are now 23 and 21 and I now have a new son-in-law, which is special in itself. I can honestly say that every phase of their lives has been more fun than the one before – and I look forward to future phases!
My mom raised me as a single mom for 15 yrs. As I’ve gotten older I realize more and more the sacrifices she had to make. She’s my hero!
P.S. I love the necklaces! So beautiful! I hope I win 🙂
My Mom passed away in April, so this is an emotional month. Would love a piece of Lucy’s jewelry!

Beautiful jewelry! I love being a Mom. 🙂
These pieces remind of my my grandMOM!
My 85 year old mother will return from wintering in Fla. tomorrow. I cant wait to see her.! Shes still beautiful and active,. My mother raised 5 of her own and 2 neices. Way back then my mother sewed our clothes , made the bread, and cooked us a warm meal morning and night. I dont know how she did it!!!!!
The best thing about being a mom is watching your children become moms. I have been reading along on your adoption journey and wondered how excited your and Kevin’s moms must be too. Thanks for the chance to win.
I love the vintage jewelry. My name is really Evelyn. I am wishing every Mom and mom to be out there a Happy Mother’s day! Make sure and take time if you still have your mom here on earth how much you love her!!
Wishing a Beautiful Happy Mothers Day to all Moms and Moms To Be! 😀
I am a mom to two beautiful adult daughters adopted from Korea when babies. I always say, ” God always has a plan, what a blessing He planned our lives together”.
I think Mother’s Day is up there with the top holiday favorites for me. It’s a day to celebrate being a mom, it’s a day to be celebrated by your kids and it’s an awesome day to celebrate our own mother’s and let them know why they are so special to us as their children and grandchildren. Here’s to an early Happy Mothers Day to you all!
Just had twins and now I’m a mother of 5! Would live this love gift for Mother’s Day:)
I met Lucy at Haven and bought a necklace. It is my favorite. I love the vintage style and how it can dress up jeans or look great for going out too! My fingers are crossed. x
I still remember being pregnant and almost suddenly one day having this strange new appreciation for my own mother and all she did as a mom to me. It felt as if I were seeing her in an entirely new way–and I could sense the love she had as a mother because I felt it too in that moment. I think that’s what a revelation is.
My mom took great delight in teaching me to look for and love God’s handiwork in all things. Such cool jewelry!
My grandma was my most favorite person in the world. She wasn’t a huge jewelry person, but she did have three key pieces that she wore every day, and when I see anything similar, I think of her. My favorite was a somewhat large rectangular cut citrine ring. It was (and is) sooo HER in my mind. I always smile when I see one.
Missing my mom everyday, and I try to wear something of hers every time I go out. Love Lucy’s jewelry.
My Mom would love something from Lucy’s. My Mother is the very best Mama and Mamaw ever made!
Happy Mother’s Day!
I want to celebrate my daughter this Mother’s Day. She is a true example of living a selfless life. My daughter is a single mommy of three beautiful children, two on the Autism Spectrum. She works tirelessly, volunteering and fundraising, to support Autism awareness.
I am so proud of the strong and giving woman she is. Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful daughter.
I love being a mom. I never thought I wanted to be a mother but I know that God designed me to be a stay at home mother. I am thankful for my mom and her legacy that she has left. I miss her every Mother’s Day. So thankful that she met all three of my children and told me that she was proud of the mother that I had become.
My Grandma loved jewelry and the bigger the better. She didn’t go anywhere with out a necklace and clip earrings. She was even wearing her rosary beads and earrings when she went to meet Jesus (at 98 yrs old). And that makes me smile!

looking forward to spending the day with my mom and my daughter (and hopefully ice cream!)
My Mom has been w/ Jesus for 12 1/2 yrs now but I still miss her. She was an incredible example of a humble spirit & living w/ conviction. I wish I could talk w/ her often lately. I think she was a saint.
Being a mom is such an amazing experience that God blesses us with. I can’t wait for you two to get to share in this awesome blessing. Everyday if full little things where you see God.

1st.Mothers Day without my mom and my HERO! But even more than that MY BEST FRIEND !!
My mom has been ill most of her life with one thing or another. These past 3 years have been her biggest battle with mouth cancer. She never smoked or drank,it was a rare side effect from a medicine for RA. that destroyed her immune system.
My mother was 4’8″ tall and weighed 67 pounds. But she was the strongest woman I have ever known. In the last weeks of her life at one point we were all called to the hospital ,the DR. was going to give her enough medicine to put her in a coma state.
We all said our goodbyes, hugs kisses and when the Dr. started the medicine, mom was holding my hand and my sister-in-laws and asked “Why is it so hard to die?” A little bit later she started to cry and say she was afraid. To hear those words from her broke all our hearts. She has been living in pain everyday, but always positive.
It broke my son and my nephew in half, both of their statement said in eyes full of tears “When the bravest woman I have ever known,my grandma,is afraid that is more than I can take:”
They had to leave.
My mother hung on for almost 4 weeks more, her will to live was incredible. Her wishes were to make it through Christmas and have everyone home. Her 4 kids, grandchildren, great grand children.
Her biggest wish was to see her last great grandchild born.Again she did! At the hospital, she held her new grandson in her arms, even though she was so week and her eyes were clouded over from the drugs. Her smile could not have been any bigger.Grant was 4 days old. Talk about the circle of LIFE !
My Mother past away on February 2nd.Remember everyday to tell YOUR MOTHER HOW MUCH YOU LOVE HER !!!!!
They are Our Blessing here on Earth.
SO! Mom I miss you more than words can say.But I know You are in Heaven Dancing with your Soul Mate and Best friend ! Our Father.
I LOVE YOU !! THANK YOU FOR BEING MY MOM and MY BEST FRIEND AND HERO!!!
Jane…I apologize for the length…..
My mom is 79 years old and I treasure each day i get with her! She is the VERY best example I could have for how to be a beautiful mother!
Being a Mom is the toughest and the best job in the world! :O)
Thankful for all the spiritual moms out there in addition to the bio and adoptive moms!
Oh my gosh! The necklaces are BEAUTIFUL. This is so unique and amazing. I’m in love!!! As for my mom comment, I have to say, being a mother of 3 little ones, has been challenging to say the least, but at the same time, NOTHING compares to the feeling of PURE LOVE and JOY, that a child can bring into ones’ life. I feel so blessed. I barely found your blog a couple of weeks ago, but have read a good bit of it because you are A-MAZ-ING. I hope so badly that you will get your little boy soon Layla. I think you are incredible and are so inspiring with your positive attitude and love of Christ. You are a beautiful person. xo Amber
I’m visiting at my mom’s this week. I drove 830 miles by myself to visit. We made new cornice boards for her kitchen today and they look great. Right now she’s on her computer looking at FB and I’m looking at blogs. Soon we’ll be heading for bed to store up energy for a shopping outing tomorrow! 🙂
Beautiful pieces! My mom, grand moms and mother-in-law have certainly been jewels in my life.
Every year that passes I have more and more respect and admiration for my mother. Rock on!
I never appreciated my mother properly until I became one myself. Now I just hope to live up to her shining example!
I only have one mom, but I have so many women who step up and play mom when I need it!
I used to play in my grandmothers jewelry when I was a child.
My daughter’s name is Lucy 🙂 and she loves jewelry! She would love these pieces!
Being a mom was the only career I ever wanted! I absolutely loved every aspect of it, from flowers handed to me with the roots still attached, to kissing boo boos, answering all the whys and what ifs, priceless artwork, sweet conversations and most importantly teaching them about Jesus. Now they are married and we have 8 precious little grandchildren, And there is nothing like GRANDchildren! I didn’t think life could be any sweeter but there is nothing like seeing my own children become mommies and daddies and passing on the legacy of a loving Christ centered home.
I’m not a mom yet, but I appreciate the example my mom has been. She worked, but was still able to be around for us. I’ve been having a hard time making that choice between working or being a mom, but she has shown me I can do both.
Beautiful!
Happy Mother’s Day!
My mom died the day May 11, 1985. It happened to be the day before Mother’s Day that year. I still miss her and wish that she could have lived long enough to meet her one and only grandson. She would have been so happy. This Mother’s Day will be my first Mother’s Day without my son. He has moved out (finally!!) but I definitely feel like a sad mom even though I know this is what the goal was! Those years fly so fast!
For the past 4 years, I’ve been without a necklace due to little hands always grabbing them. I think it’s about time I start wearing them again 🙂
So pretty!
