Happy Monday!
I’ve had lots of requests for a new Blog Threads t-shirt (which is very kind of y’all that have asked!), and we’re hoping to go bond with our Sweet P again at the end of July, so I thought I’d create another one to release as a fundraiser this week. We got a very encouraging adoption update about our paperwork moving right along through all the proper channels on Friday, so that was wonder-full to hear on Mother’s Day weekend!
Also, another set of parents is at the orphanage meeting their child for the first time right now, and they said our little guy was kissing her cell phone screen and pointing to “Mama!” and “Daddy!” when she played him the video we sent. 🙂
This month’s shirt says breathe it all in and love it all out. It’s one of my favorite phrases because I think it’s such good advice. Simple, not always easy, but simple…and Good.
20% of the proceeds from this sale will go to the Wooldridge Family, who is also adopting their son from Haiti. (He’s one of our Sweet P’s best little buddies!) They’re looking forward to meeting him when they get the green flag to book their socialization trip, and my heart just swells when I think about them experiencing their precious boy’s personality and smile! 😀
The 2-day sale starts tomorrow over at BlogThreads.com, and it will end around 10pm (CST) on Wednesday night. And, as always, this will be a pre-order sale, so I’ll need to tally up the order, place the order with the printer, get the shirts back from the printer, package them and then ship them, which will take a minimum of two weeks. I’m thinking they’ll land in folks’ mailboxes no later than the 9th of June, but hopefully sooner!
Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to pick one up. I love designing them, and we’re so grateful for the possibility of booking a bonding trip to visit our boy! XO
Hey Layla, I’m having trouble finding the dropdown menu for sizing on the blogthreads website. Help! I’m a tall skinny C cup. LOL!!
Hi Candice!
The (2-day) sale actually starts tomorrow morning. Thank you for checking with me about the menu! XO
It is the same company who did the “Here I am, Lord, use me” shirts? I have that one, and that’ll help me determine sizing.
Yep! That’s the one, Amy. Thank you! 😀
Hi Layla,
It’s so nice to hear that your getting one step further in having little Sweet P with you. So happy for you and Kevin….Good luck to your friends as well.
Praying for your paperwork to keep skipping along the way so you can visit and then bring your Sweet P home very soon!
thought of you on mother’s day and said several prayers for you and your sweet little boy. what a pleasure to see such a fabulous update in my reader this morning!
this shirt is perfect! great design.
Love that you chose V-neck…some of us ladies with larger shoulders and chests only wear v-necks as they are more flattering. Love the logo!
Can they be shipped to Canada? Please 🙂
Yep! 😀
I’ve been following your adoption process since the beginning. I admire your patience, as it seems like a very long process to me, so I cant imagine how it is for you. So happy your Sweet Pea recognizes you….it must fill your heart up. I thought about you yesterday on Mother’s Day, and was hoping things were moving along.
Your t-shirts are so cute, with wonderful positive thoughts. I also love, love, love your glasses. Please tell me who makes them and the style name/number. They really look good on you!! Thanks!
Yaaayyy!!! I love ALL of the shirts I have ordered from you and have been waiting for this post (another shirt offering!)! I can’t wait to order another one!! And for such a great cause too 😉
Layla and Kevin, I have followed you for years, you were one of my first blogs that I have loved from the start. I never comment on any blog (i’m a blog stalker), however I just wanted to tell you that I have just ordered your new shirt. I am in love with your story on your journey to your sweet P, and I feel blessed to be a very very small part in that help to get him into your loving arms. I will wear the shirt and think of you and your perfect little family and how much joy you will have for the rest of your lives. Love to all of you. Lori
Dear Layla and Kevin,
I just got your t-shirt and I absolutely love it! Thank you very much and good luck with your adoption. I really hope you can bring your Sweet P home very soon!
Lots of love from London. Ewa
