Okay- it’s Blog Threads day! 😀
This month’s designs were designed by my sweet friend, Rachel Robbins. She is so talented and I love the lettering she came up with for this month’s t-shirts! The first one is ‘I am a child of God’:
…and the second one is ‘Life is short, the world is wide’:
All of the shirts are the same super soft Next Level shirts (50% Polyester, 25% Cotton, 25% Rayon) we’ve used in all of our previous 2-day sales.
The adult shirts are available in unisex or ladies cut. (The baseball tee is unisex) The unisex shirts run very true to size and they don’t shrink when you dry them. The ladies cut shirts (which I’m wearing in the first two photos above) run two sizes smaller, but also do not shrink when you dry them.
For example, I’m 5′-5″ (129 lbs) and I wear a small in the unisex t-shirt, and a large in the ladies cut t-shirt. I like to wear an XL in the Ladies Cut- CREW NECK shirt because I like my necklines a little on the looser side. Here are the size charts for both kinds of cuts. You lay the shirt FLAT to get these measurements:
Unisex:
Ladies Cut v-neck:
HPS stands for “high point of shoulder”. It’s the measurement that goes from the highest point of your shoulder straight down to the hem at the bottom of the t-shirt. The Bust 1″ Blw Amhl measurement is the one that runs from side to side, across the bust area- 1″ down from the bottom of the arm hole if the t-shirt is laying flat. The third measurement (SLV Length Frm Shld Edge) is the outside edge of the sleeve. When I was trying to decide which size to order, I measured one of my other t-shirts that fits well to see which size would be the most comparable.
Kevin and I host these sales to raise funds to help with our adoption expenses, so if you’ve ever purchased one (or more!), we hope you know how much your purchase has meant to us. You have played a part in helping grow our family, and we will be forever grateful for that gift!
We also partner with other families that are in the process of adopting, and I’m excited to share that this month’s Fundraiser Family is the Davey family:
Andrea and her husband, Justin, are adopting a little girl from the same orphanage Sweet P lives at, and we’re so grateful to have them as “forever family” now! Here’s a snippet from Andrea about their adoption adventure so far:
“We’re the Daveys from Des Moines, Iowa. We started our adoption journey about two years ago, and were very quickly drawn to Haiti. We have family histories of missions work in the country, and we’re excited to continue that lineage and bring a daughter into our family in this way. We have two energetic young boys (Wilder – 5; Major -3) who need a sister! 😀 We are matched with a beautiful girl and are currently in Haiti on our first bonding trip! The adoption journey has been exciting, stressful and life-changing, and we are so thankful for a God who is in control of it all.”
20% of the proceeds from the sale of this months t-shirts will go to the Daveys, so on behalf of both of our families, thank you so much to anyone who is interested in purchasing a shirt! XO
You can hop over to the Blog Threads website by clicking on the banner below:
This is a 4-day pre-order sale. Once the sale is done (Tuesday night around 8pm CST) I’ll deactivate the site so that I can tally up the order and send it off to the print shop. It usually takes about two and a half weeks to get them back from the print shop, so Kevin and I will start packing them up and mailing them out around February 19th. I’m thinking they’ll all be delivered between February 22nd and February 29th, depending on what part of the world you live in.
Thanks for taking the time to read this far if you’re still here, and let me know if you have any other questions about the “threads”! XO
Yay!! So excited to have more of your shirts!!
Any chance that you can make the I Am a Child of God tees for infants, toddlers and children? I’m certain lots of moms and grandmas that would buy them.
