5 Fun Things I Found On Instagram

Nov 10, 2015 By Layla

Hello! Each Wednesday I share a handful of photos that stopped me in my tracks while I was scrolling on Instagram the previous week. Here are this week’s picks:

1. @Em_Mooney‘s adorable attic space turned guest bedroom nook:

There are so many things in those photos that speak to me. The wallpaper, the mixing of contemporary and antique furniture, the black/white/green/navy color scheme, the little brass sconces with their snappy new shades…I love it all!

2. This precious Christmas Countdown Ladder in @CamiTidBits‘s feed:

3. This stunning kitchen that @JeffreyDungan‘s designed:

Hubba hubba, right? 😀

I did some more e-digging and literally squealed when I found out Jeffrey’s architecture firm (Dungan-Nequette) is based right here in sweet home Alabama AND that house is only 40 minutes away from me!! (Now if only I could make friends with the homeowners!) Here are few more photos of the house:

What a cozy looking place, huh? Gorgeous!

4. Homestead_House ‘s precious nursery makeover:

Y’all, if you haven’t visited Hillary’s blog, you have to check it out. Five years ago she and her family moved into the home she grew up in, so much of her content is dedicated to experiences and stories that happened there over the past 30+ years. It’s such a inspiring e-place to visit!

5. @DiaryOfDavesWife‘s no-paint-necessary Buffalo Check Wall:

I won’t give away how she did it, but WOW! Seriously one of the most clever DIY projects I have seen in a long time! Way to think outside of the box, Kristy!

PS- You can find me @LetteredCottage on Instagram if you’d like to connect over there too! XO

    Hi Layla
Love this feature, but I wasn’t able to find Hilary’s blog…the link leads me to Instagram and when I google Homestead House I get a paint blog. If you have it (or I’ve just missed it)I appreciate a link:)
    Thanks very much!

The link should be in her Instagram profile, Wen! XO

Hi Layla, great finds, love all the pictures. Just wanna mention that some of the links are going to other IG accounts 😉

    Have a blessed day 🙂

Thanks, Eveline! I link to their IG accounts because that’s where I find the photos, and many times the folks I feature don’t have blogs or websites. XO

I think the IG account you linked to for the nursery had that photo from the original site – because the linked site belongs to a Sue, not Jennifer. And the website is for Homestead House paints, maker of Miss Mustard Seed paints (l’m a retailer!).

Hmmm…that is SO strange! I checked the links and they were typed in correctly, but they were definitely linking to the wrong accounts! :-O
I re-typed them and refreshed the page and it looks like they’re working now. Can you let me know if they’re working for you? XO

AH! I just figured it out! I had used the blog post from LAST Wednesday as a template and forgot to swap out the sites the names were linking to!!! 😀 Thanks for the heads up! It’s all fixed now. XO

If there’s anybody in this whole wide world that could make friends with that homeowner, it’s you!
