Each Wednesday I share a handful of photos that stopped me in my tracks while I was scrolling Instagram the previous week. Here are this week’s picks! 🙂
1. @BrookeWagnerDesign‘s lucsious reclaimed wood tile wall:
The reclaimed wood tiles are made by Everett and Schilling Tile, and you can find them here: EandSTile.com
2. @ShadeOfBlueInterior‘s gorgeous whale dresser makeover:
I was so curious to know how Rachel created the whale! Turns out, she found some images of whales online, practiced drawing them in her sketchbook, and then hand-drew it on with chalk. She painted over the chalk with white paint to make it permanent. So cool, huh? 😀
3. @RanchHouseRehab‘s awesome (Pottery Barn knock-off) cordless roman shades:
Click here to read her detailed step-by-step tutorial: Knock-Off Pottery Barn Cordless Roman Shade.
4. @CrazyChicDesign‘s fab & frugal DIY Dalmatian Print Wallpaper:
Way to get creative with that electrical tape, Amy!
5. @BeneathMyHeart‘s fun “fake” wood floor:
Y’all. They covered the whole room with 4 sheets of birch plywood, cut into strips and nailed down to the existing subfloor! Isn’t is spectacular? 😀 Here’s a link to Traci’s blog post all about it: How To Fake A Wood Floor With Plywood.
Happy decorating!

All stunning ideas to implement. But you WON my heart with the whale dresser. I’m putting that on my DIY list. Or my husbands. Okay, my husbands. I let him thank you later for the idea =)
Wow! Love the reclaimed wood tiles.
Loved the Whale dresser as well.
Love Traci’s beautiful wood floor!! So pretty for her new little girl. What a great idea!!
All are great ideas. I love the wood tile wall. And I have to save this to try the floor redo. Thanks.
All neat ideas but my fav is the floor!
I pinned several of these ideas. I particularly liked the reclaimed wood wall covering. It looks simply amazing. And I had been looking at the windows in my mid-century ranch former parsonage, that has the huge picture windows. I want to bring them to a more current style and was thinking Roman shades would be a good idea. I live in a residential area where we are rather close to the sidewalks. I could do that along with the sheers that give us a bit of privacy during the daytime and then lower the shades at night.
