6 Decorating Ideas For Your Home – HomeGoods Hump Day #2

Nov 27, 2017 By Layla

Okay! For those of you who couldn’t join me for the Insta-story this past Wednesday, here’s my latest “HomeGoods Hump Day” video:

What a blast! I ended up going back for the $55 mirror and the Christmas plates. 🙂

I’m thinking I may switch things up and do “Hobby Lobby Hump Day” this week. How does that sound? Either way, like I mentioned in my last email, I’ll always try to put together a group of five-ish ideas that are fun, affordable and easy to create no matter where you shop. Even if it’s your house! 🙂

Have a great week!

Layla

Layla, what are these “disc hangers” of which you speak? I need to get those! Do they sell them at Home Goods? All I have used in the (distant) past were those wire plate-hangers, and I have been collection blue-and-white plates but putting off the actual hanging of the display due to not wanting to work with those wire hangers.

Hobby Lobby has them too and you can use a coupon. Not the extra large ones though. I love them, super strong and they hold the big platters too. Those I have had to order.

Just found time to watch this, and I was ready to hop in the car and head to Home Goods! I’m a sucker for Christmas decor, and have waaay too much already. but those spools of ribbon and the tree ideas were something I DON’T have, LOL! However, my H.G. store is quite a drive, and I would definitely get caught in rush hour after spending hours there. So, I will wait until tomorrow – then I can also hit Pier One while I’m nearby! I NEED that birch gift wrap they have, so I can transform my boring battery candles into chic birch ones and save myself from buying the real things! Snip, snip and double stick tape to make “sleeves” over the candles!

I love those tree coasters! Great idea with the plate wall; make it Christmasy.

I also love how you Pottery-Barn-on-a-budget!

    You’re awesome.
