5 Instagram Photos That Stopped Me In My Scroll

Apr 8, 2020 By Layla

Hello! It’s Wednesday! That means it’s time to share a few of the photos that stopped me in my scroll on Instagram this past week!

1. @PureAndGeneral:

Y’all know I’m crazy about the mix of white & wood, but there’s something reeeeally captivating about the almost equal split of the contrasting tones in this space. I loved hearing more about the floor in the homeowner’s caption too: “I recently laid a recycled brick floor in brick bond, abutting one another without grout, (in the traditional way) in my 1850s cottage in Windsor. I did everything I was told not to do, but I think it works!“. Way to break the rules, @PureAndGeneral!

2. @ThisOldHudson–

Now THAT is a staircase runner! What a fun way to feature multiple, coordinating antique rugs! You can find more inspiring interior photos here: This Old Hudson

3. @PaintedRootsHome:

I’m fairly new to Tiffany’s feed, but that fireplace stone instantly made me swoon! I’ve always been a sucker for a natural stone surround but the rustic-ness of that one really says *home*. You can find more of Tiffany’s beautiful home here: PaintedRootsHome.com

4. @ThisLittleStreet:

Boy did that picture take my breath away! Audrey is an author/designer and she creates the prettiest pics by layering her artwork on top of interesting structures like the one in the photo above. (Which, by the way, can be found here: @ThisGeorgetown ) To check out Audrey’s awesome online shop, click here: Shop.TheLittleStreet.com.

5. @HouseandHens:

Emily always posts such pretty interior photos but oh how this picture of one of her ducks made me smile! The blue sky, the picket fence, the chestnut-colored feathers on that clearly happy duck! I love it all! Here’s a link to Emily’s blog: House and Hens

Hope you had fun scrolling here today too!

Me too! Everyone has their favorite social media platform, but I hope you’ll consider posting more. I’ve already been sucked into Facebook, don’t want to add Instagram too.

Oh! Creating content on the Instagram platform has actually (and unexpectedly!) become my full-time job now, so I’m actually working over there every day to “keep the lights on” at our house, too. 😉

PS- you can watch my Instagram stories on Facebook too!

Oh! I don’t know how to do this but I’ll try to figure it out. Thanks!

I watched your make-up tutorial and learned plenty (especially keeping color on your cheeks and NOT upward lol). But oh how I laughed!!! Your sense of humor is killin’ me here. Made my morning, made me chuckle and I learned a few tricks along the way. What more could I ask for? Um…maybe that question should be dealt with later. 😂 I’ll have to check out the “gram”. Hadn’t realized you were busy over there.
    Have a sparkling day Layla.

Just watched your makeup tutorial! Ok…I thought I was witty. Girl !! YOU are hilariously darling!!! Like seriously made me giggle. Great timing of the start/stop on the video. One of my favorites about the eyeliner sounding like the name of a band *pause* KEV… hehhee
