“For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction.”
-Cynthia Occelli
Here’s to throwing ourselves out in the open, and letting our vulnerabilities become our strengths.

I must admit – sweet quotes are usually just that for me – sweet. But this one brought me to my knees. Thank you, Layla. You’re a treasure to so many.

Growth is my word of the year for 2016. I want to grow in my relationships and my faith; I want to grow physically stronger at the gym; and I want to grow my wings. Fearless was my word for 2015 and I’ve still got that on my mind…and I think that will help me GROW. =)
Happy New Year!
Julia
2016 the year of growth! This quote is so timely.

Perfect! My word for the year is flourish and I blogged about feeling like 2014 was the year I was a seed underground, dying to self so I can really grow, flourish in all Christ has for me. Thank you for this!!!!

Ha! I have to just smile! I have been reading your blog for years now and I think I remember that you were deathly afraid of flying. I just smile because you would think nothing now of jumping on an airplane and flying to Haiti to visit your little boy! it’s amazing, isn’t it?- how it all comes together and we really do grow when we come “undone”. Blessings as you and your family count the days!
