Along with Coastal living, I would so happily buy your magazine at Borders the day you do it.
For now, so excited to see it on your blog.
Maybe one day you will share how you and Kevin do SOOOOOOOOOOOO much in a day.
I am sooooooo impressed and wish you could teach me that too.

  18. Zolane says

I’ve just finished scanning through your previous magazine and cannot wait to see the next. So fresh, clean, inviting and inspirational.

May I ask where you purchased the coral colored curtains for the window above the window boxes filled with towels, please? Love them!

  19. Tina K says

I always am so inspired when I see the colors and textures you put together. If I had one, JUST ONE, room that looked somewhat like any of yours I would live in there. Forever. lol

  20. says

I’m late catching on to your wonderful-ness! so I missed the first issue. I said ok, look at that later Kim when you have more time but of course I couldn’t wait…LOVED it…is it available in hard copy and have you answered this question a million times already. Completely up my alley…You guys are amazing! Have a great rest of the day…plan on looking through the 1st one another million times this evening when it is a bit more peaceful…..Kim :)

  21. Nicole says

So excited!! Since the first issue, I’m lucky to now have an iPad… Doesn’t look like it’s compatible?? This means that I will have to kick my husband out of his office for the morning =)

  22. says

Hi! I’m a new follower here and like ther idea that you guys are putting together a magazine! I am on an iPad however, which doesn’t have the capability to use flash player so I couldn’t open the link to the first mag. Will we iPad users be able to view it another way? If you put a link to a downloadable PDF file of it, we’ll be able to open it in our iBooks magazine reader – just an idea but I understand that might be extra work :/

  23. says

That’s fantastic! I love that first Screened Inn issue… Thank you for putting it together – looks like a lot of time and effort went into it. I’m so looking forward to seeing the next installment of the Lettered Cottage Magazine!

    Andrea

  24. Dianne says

I am shocked that some big time decor agent hasn’t picked you two up!!!!! Everything you do is amazingly clever. It’s just a matter of time. We can say we knew you when. :) I eagerly await this magazine. I spy another favorite Mary Englebreit. I loved Home Companion and miss it terribly. Keep the good stuff coming.
BTW, you two hold a special bond with me as I have 2 adopted children. I am praying for you.
    xoxo Dianne

  25. Sharon Stinson says

Hey Layla! You and your hubby are always an inspiration to me – sometimes there’s a DIY project I would love to tackle but it just seems so overwhelming. Then I go to your blog and see the great creativity, what ya’ll have done and how you’ve gone about it – and the beautiful results. And I think “If Layla and Kevin can do it, then I can do it!” :) Love your blog and the magazine. Looking forward to this new one coming out. Thanks for sharing your love, laughter, and life with all of us, along with fantastic DIY and decorating ideas. Sharon

  26. Dawn says

Be still my heart! Girl this is fresh, country living at it’s best! I can’t wait! You never cease to amaze me. Your ideas beat any monthly magazine I buy on the supermarket shelf!!! I am a fellow “Birminghamian” and every time I go to Home Goods I secretly stalk the isles in hopes that I will run into you and Kevin shopping there. I think I would have a Beetle Mania moment and start screaming! Ha!

FUNNY STORY FOR LAYLA: I went to MN Ikea and purchased the wicker basket and white flowered plant because Layla had it…. and then the same day I purchased the white pillow with flower stiching on it and magically it appeared on your spare bedroom bed! 38. Katrina says

    Layla and Kevin,

I love what you do. You’ve already inspired me to redo my fireplace. And I’m looking forward to tackling my kitchen but I’m REALLY interested in knowing what the aqua color used on that dresser in the “mess hall” house. I’m thinking that would be perfect for my bathroom vanity. Keep up the good work. :)

    • Layla says

      Hey Katrina!
I think that dresser was already painted that color, if I remember correctly. Sorry! :-(

  39. Jennifer says

Hi! I absolutely love your site. I also love the turquoise/aqua door on the main page for this article. I am looking for a color just like that to paint my house. Do you know the name of the paint used on that door? I’d be forever grateful!

    Thanks~Jennifer

  40. says

Absolutely amazing job! I loved looking at your magazine!! Beautiful and inspiring pictures. The pops of red you used like the oar on the wall and the pictures of the tug boat. You definitely could sell your magazine. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us!

  41. Claire Tenwick says

I’m new to your blog but already 100% addicted. I love all of your projects and inspiration. I go to your blog for my daily ‘design hug’ and feel so much better afterwards. I downloaded your book and adore it. It’s amazing and I have already learned so much. Like I said I’m a newbie but what I lack in experience I make up for in enthusiasm :) Can’t wait for the next e-zine edition !!!!!

  42. says

WOW how super exciting. I LOVED your last ezine and looked at it all the time. I can’t wait to see this one. Thank you for being so inspiring x Janelle

  45. Verna says

I’m new to your website–I LOVE it! Love your style of decorating and all the lovely ideas! Are these magazines only available to view online or do you by any chance have a print version available? Thanks so much!

    • Layla says

      Hi Verna!
Our e-zines will only be available online, but I do believe there’s a “print” option in the top left hand corner of the screen over at Yudu.com if you want to print them out.

      Thanks for stopping by today!
      :-)
