Quick heads up to remind y’all about Rhoda’s Spring door decor link party today!
We haven’t had time to deck out any of our doors yet this year, but we did have fun with the ones in the photo above last year. (Links: Yarn wreath how-to and Seaside Sisters)
Did you blog about deckin’ out your door this Spring? If so, and you’d like to share it with folks lookin’ for Spring door decor inspiration, swing by Rhoda’s and link it up, Buttercup! And if you’re like me and haven’t gotten around to it yet- you’ll definitely want to head over there, too. There’s sure to be LOTS of lovely links to be inspired by!
Shari
My door is done and already linked up with Rhoda 🙂 I stayed and browsed through some of the links and can confirm that you will have a lot of inspiration 😉
Have a great day!
Karena

You know I haven’t ever been crazy about the yarn wreaths. I think maybe they are just too skinny for me but I like the one you did for the screen door above. I think I like it because it is used in a light and airy space with just a little decoration. Not so much that it feels weighed down. I can definitely see a yarn wreath as a good spring wreath.

Ooh, I’ll have to head on over. I need something to spruce up our entry way! Though if I take our Aloha sign down, I don’t know how the FedEx/UPS guy will find us. At Christmas they said they kept driving by the “Aloha house” with no aloha on the front door!
Elle
I go to your site for NEW decor ideas. I haven’t seen much lately. Very disappointing. What’s up?

My favorite thing about blogging is the wonderfully fulfilling feeling that comes with sharing whatever it is your heart desires on any given day. I’m sorry you’re “very disappointed”, but blogs are free to read, and I try to keep this a happy place for me, my family, and our readers to be. One that is uplifting and stress-free, and that we’ll have fun scrolling through when we’re old and gray. 🙂

For some reason, its still very harsh and surprising to me how some people can be!

I love all of you ideas…new and old. 🙂 These spring wreaths are so pretty. I haven’t gotten around to much spring decorating, either! Christmas is next for me…
Layla
Hey Marian! Thank so much for swingin’ by today and we’ll be thinking of you as we put up our tree next month, too- LOL! 😀
Danielle
Love the seaside one! Beautiful and inspiring. Haven’t gotten to my door yet though.
Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality
Oh girl! Some people just can’t be pleased, so you were very kind to provide all those links for her. She is sure to be busy now, clicking and clicking on all that inspiration. Hope that satisfies her desire for new and creative, it’s right there at her fingertips.

Hey Layla!
I plan on joining in Rhoda’s party a day late and a project short for Sarah’s party. 🙂
I love revisiting your projects. I especially like your yarn wreath.
I agree with your comments about blogging. I sometimes think people forget that there is life beyond the computer screen.

Heading over there for some inspiration….maybe its time I took my Christmas wreath down….not kidding…..at least its green…does that count as a spring wreath?
Love your blog
Layla
Hey, that’s ok! We’re about to decorate for Christmas here next month- LOL! (A work-related project) 😉
Elaine
Good morning, Layla!
I love visiting with you for all the great ideas, spirit, and love that you share! I admire your style, and love your decorating ideas, but I have to say that your non-decor posts have touched my heart the most….. keep on doing what you are doing, girl! 🙂
Layla
Thank you, Elaine! 🙂
I appreciate your encouraging comment and am so happy you like visiting us here at TLC!
Kenzie
No matter what, I get inspiration everyday from you & older posts remind me of those projects that I forgot about and still want to try! So yeah, keep it up! 🙂
Layla
Well thank you, Kenzie. 🙂 I appreciate you taking the time to be a day-maker! 😀

Hi! Spring wreath? Probably the same one we use every year – but I have to wait a bit longer to keep birds from building nests in it. Yes, right on the front door. Yes, with two cats going in and out of the house. I borrowed the design from a friend in Texas. We use artificial wisteria on three quarters of a vine wreath, all secured with floral pins and hot glue. Maybe that’s why the birds like it so much – it was built to last! I love the new love seat on your front porch!
Kat :)
Layla,
I love coming to your blog! Inspiration galore!!! This is my favorite decorating idea site. I love it! I’m wanting to send pics for pick my presto, but I can’t decide which room to send….I’m working on 3 all at the same time. Stress! Don’t know if it’s multitasking or ADD…..hehe. 🙂 Anyway, just wanted to encourage you and let you know your blog rocks!
Sincerely,
Kat

I just couldn’t believe the mean comment you received. I absolutely love your site and am constantly inspired to try new projects as a result of your inspiration. It always shocks me when someone is just so hateful and spiteful. Sounds like jealousy rearing its ugly head to me! Love that you showed such class by not telling her off and simply directing her to the many projects you’ve been working on. Pure class! Please keep up the great work. You inspire so many of us!
Amanda
I second this…This site is the best. Something about your style…whenever I visit I feel like I’m on vacation ..even if just for a few minutes. Keep up the great work and thanks for providing such wonderful content at no cost to your readers. We appreciate it!

I’d like to get crafty with a spring wreath, but this year I just went with a pre-made Easter door hanger that my mother-in-law no longer wanted. Next year will be my year! 🙂
