…the night Gary and Amanda flew back from Haiti with their twin boys…

It was almost midnight by the time they landed in Birmingham, but we were all SO excited to be there to welcome them home!

We waited and waited…and then…they appeared!

Gasps and cheers filled the air as the doors opened and Gary and Amanda came out holding their sons!

Their daughters ran to greet them first…

…and it was one of the sweetest things I have ever witnessed.

Bet’cha know who we’re looking at in those last two pics, don’t you? Yep. Amanda captured some video footage of Sweet P looking at the photo book we sent with her. :-)

I was all smiles while watching it, but when she pulled me in for a hug and shared sweet-somethings about my boy…I just lost it, y’all.

I’ll never, ever forget that moment.

I  am  so  ready  to  go  meet  my  boy.

Around 12:30am, we all bowed our head in prayer…

I’ll never forget that one either. What a precious and powerful experience!

It was such an incredible night from start to finish. To FINALLY see those boys right here in Alabama after keeping up with them on the Three Angels Facebook page for the past year was surreal!

And HUGE thanks to Hello Baby for doing such a beautiful job of capturing this night for keeps! I hope we get to see you (and your camera!) in that exact same spot again REAL soon! 😉

PS- Here’s a short video I captured of the kiddos meeting for the first time that night if you’d like to watch! #GrabATissue :-)

Not sure if this will work, but I’m hoping since you know the Knotts you could pass this on to them.

In October of 2012 I went on my second missions with my church to Three Angels in Haiti. The previous year (2011) when I we went down, we worked primarily on the main compound and with the school. The orphanage had not yet been opened since the earth quake of 2010.

This time when we went down there were 7 beautiful babies being cared for. As soon as I walked in I felt an instant love for each of them. But it was after holding one little boy that my heart was tied to these kids. Kelly was one of the bigger more active of the bunch and I loved holding him as he would do continual circles in my arms wanting to make sure he saw everything going on around him. Learning he had a twin brother in the group, I thought it was so comical how their personalities were so different but yet they were often found together in the play area. It didn’t take long to have a deep love for this two boys.

It was one hot afternoon, after Kelly had fallen asleep in my arms (only making the Haitian heat even more intense…but totally worth it J ) that a begin praying for a loving Godly family for him and his brother. Knowing I couldn’t take them with me, although several times I would contemplate how I could safely pack two babies in my carry on J, I knew that I wanted nothing more than these boys to go to a Mother and Father who loved them and would teach them about their heavenly father that loves them even more deeply.

As I have watched from afar your journey leading you to these to precious boys, I realized my prayer that afternoon had been answered. I cried with tears of joy as I read the updates on Kelly and Kevenel and final announcement that they were going home!!! To say I am excited for you is a total understatement. So just know you have a random person in central Indiana who is praying for you and your family and even without knowing it you were an answer to prayer for me!
