Little does he know that when he wakes up I’m going to ask him to move all the furniture out of the Guest Bedroom, so that he can rip down more drywall, and uncover more of those delicious horizontally-planked walls.
We also decided (and by “we”, I mean “I”) that while we have all the furniture out of the room, we’re going to re-sand the hardwood flooring in there. I want the floors to have a warmer, honey-toned, feel throughout the house. That way they’ll match my blinds, and the whole house will feel “sunnier”.
It’ll be neat to see the black kitchen cabinets and all of our dark espresso stained furniture pop against lighter floors too.
I picked up this “Starfish Strand” at HomeGoods, for the Guest Room while I was there last week…
Stay tuned for lots of photos, and maybe even some video, of the changes that he’ll be making to the Guest Room this week and next.
