Hello! Each Wednesday I share a handful of photos that stopped me in my tracks while I was scrolling Instagram the previous week. Here are this week’s fun five!
1. The galvanized pendants and ceiling fan in this photo in @Loithai‘s feed:
Loithai said: “Morning light in our screened porch in Maine. When we renovated the house, I had the contractors open up the ceiling here. The galvanized pendant lights and ceiling fan are from @barnlightelectric ; aren’t those cool?”
2. This bathroom in @BeckiOwens‘ feed:
Gosh I can’t tell you how much I love that room! Those design decisions are my spirit animals. 😉
3. This foyer in @OurVintageNest‘s feed:
I love the variety of (cohesive) elements she used on that back wall…what a sweet little grouping to see when you enter through the front door!
4. The pot rack in @OurVintageHomeLove‘s feed:
Her caption read: “New pot rack made from a piece of drift wood I found on a walk by a river. Used heavy duty twine and S hooks. Also hung some oregano and rosemary from my garden to dry.” SUCH a great idea!
5. The cabinet next to the fireplace in @FarmhouseForFour‘s feed:
Y’all, we’re creating something similar over here at our place this year, and seeing that cabinet makes me feel so good about our decision to work with reclaimed wood on our built-ins! 😀 They won’t be completely finished for several months (stickin’ to a strict monthly budget!) but I uploaded a sneak peek video of what we’re up to on my YouTube channel on Monday if you’re curious. I’ll also be blogging and vlogging about the project this Friday if you don’t have time to click over to YouTube today. Fun design stuff in the works, y’all!

All yummy yummy stuff 🙂

I LOVE that you’re using reclaimed wood!!! I’m SO glad recycling and upcycling and repurposing and shopping the house is catching on! Yay for our planet! Yay for our kids!
Hugs for everyone!

P.S. I’m also in love with OurVintageHomeLove’s kitchen. But Becki Owen’s bathroom perplexes me; why do people need so much space to clean themselves and use the loo? Seems an awful waste. I’d rather have more storage closets.

I love all of these. And, loved your YouTube video as well! The whole splinter part…LOL! I hope it is all better. : ) It was good to learn about Stikwood. I can see using this on some projects at my house.
By the way, I really like this series. I don’t have Instagram, so it’s nice that you compile and share these lovely pictures, and introduce us to some bloggers we may not know. I like exploring their blogs and touring their homes, so, thank you!
Blessings!

Oh wow I LOVE that cabinet! And now I can’t wait to see what you’re up to. I used your fireplace as my inspiration picture for my new fireplace and still want bookcase built-ins too. I planned to do all white but you are intriguing me with this photo and talking about reclaimed wood. It’s a great way to bring character to a new build so I’m looking forward to watching your project progress!

So. I love the galvanized ceiling fan. It ramps up a very useful item + turns it into an awesome design element. But that foyer gallery wall from OurVintageNest DID stop me in my tracks. I had to force myself to keep scrolling! It’s so authentic + real! Time for me to spend the rest of my day gathering “stuff”!

Just watched your Youtube video and howled at the ‘baby cry’ quick edit. Man, that was so funny, I watched it twice. Hilarious!
Glad your splinter is gone.
I love that you are being patient and sticking to a monthly budget. That really says a lot about you and Kevin. I think it is a good lesson for us all.
Best to you,
Karla in CA.

I love that bathroom and pot rack! They are definitely my favorites. Will surely follow them on Instagram.
