Happy Friday, y’all!
I wanted to put together some little Christmas gift surprises for a couple of my ‘Words with Friends’ girlfriends so I was pumped when I noticed Michaels had these candles on sale last week…
They were on sale four for $10, and there was like 8 different scents to choose from. I chose Apples & Cinnamon, Christmas Tree, Pecan Waffles and Toasted Almond. They smell delicious, and the labels peel off really easily:
I wanted to replace them with something a little cuter, and I wasn’t sure which stickers I was going to like best, so I just got a couple of different kinds while I was at the store. I also got some adhesive Scrabble letters and 2 different kinds of gift bags.
I ended up liking the doily stickers the best, and I decided to layer one of the small ones on top of one big ones, right in the center of each jar.
After that, I stuck two of the Scrabble letters onto the ends of some green and white bakers twine, and pressed the letters against the jar so they’d stay in place.
Here are the two gift bag styles that came in the pack of 10 that I found for 50% off last week:
They’re the perfect size for the candle and some tissue paper!
(Note: I got lucky with my Scrabble letters, but if you want to create something similar and you don’t see the letters you need in that pack, you can also find them on Etsy.)
Happy crafting!

I love the scrabble letters idea. This would be great to use for Christmas gift packages instead of gift cards. I like gifts that are useful. These candles fil that bill. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

On a different note, could I ask where you got that beautiful blue and whit quilt on Sweet Pea’s bed? Thank you.

check out the Carl books. They are picture books. I love them because you can make up your own stories to go with the pictures or you can use the obvious story line to tell a story. They are great for sparking imagination I think.
