Did I say the next Christmas tune would be performed by Kevin, Nick and Matt? Oops! I got my dates mixed up! This next one is Shelley (on piano) and Ashley and Lauren singing. The song is “First Noel” and Tommy, Nick, and Kevin filmed them singing/playing in our sunroom while I hung out with Tommy & Shelley’s kids over in the living room. I cannot tell you how much fun I had watching the “littles” while the “bigs” made music in the room next door that night! 7-year-old Lizzie and I turned book pages together and I felt my heart burst a little every time she moved her hand over mine. 11-year-old Samuel and I discovered that origami paper also folds quite nicely into airplanes when making swans involves too many tricky steps. 4-year-old Ethan and I sat side-by-side on our chair-and-a-half and listening to his sweet, little boy voice was absolute music to this mama-to-be’s ears! 😀
…and speaking of music- click the play button on the video below if you’d to have a listen to First Noel:
Those gals have been such Lights in my life this year, and I feel blessed to be able to share them with you here this Christmas Eve, too!

Sung and played beautifully! Praise the Lord!
One of my greatest joys in this life is to be loved by littles! It’s the best!
Looking forward to your little one being tucked into bed at night with a story, a song and a prayer by you two!

Beautiful! Tonight at 5 pm. we will attend our contemporary service. So often when you speak of your congregation and the music I think of ours. Our guys and gals are quite amazing also. Last Sunday the assistant pastor sang “Go Tell it on the Mountain” with the pastors daughter. And what I love about our asst. pastor—he came into a very reserved, well-off, community (with alot of older people) who were probably shocked at his longer hair and relaxed jeans. He won them over with his wit, sermons, and personality. I LOVE that he was embraced and now the elders see past the long hair (which he actually grows and cuts for Locks of Love). Picture a cleaned up Kid Rock–seriously! Thank you and God Bless!

That was wonderful! It is early here, Christmas Eve. I am doing my nails and getting ready for a big day of three Christmas Eve services in three different churches. One at my current home church as a greeter, the second with long time friends at their church and late night at my original home church. This was a welcome treat. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!

Thank you Girls. Peace and joy just washed all over me as you sang. Sometimes the surprises of Christmas can really mess things up but this year as we experienced a hospital stay for a 7 week old, a sick 2 year old and a Daddy with the flu all of the “stuff” fell away and we remembered that Christmas is all about love, service and care for others. As I had the privilege of rocking or jiggle walking and praying scripture aloud over those precious little ones I felt God’s “Amen” whispered in my ear. We learned what all of the Jesse Tree ornaments mean and we ate pop corn and watched Hallmark movies and we remembered…. we are together. We love each other. He loves us and All is Well.
