American Blogger: The Movie

I’m gearing up for an very exciting weekend this week. Filmmaker Chris Wiegand is coming to town!

Do you read his wife Casey Leigh’s blog, The Wiegands? Such a great read and fun photos!

Unfortunately I won’t get to meet Casey Leigh or the kids on this particular trip, but I am pumped that we’ll get to hang out with Chris as a part of his “American Blogger” project! Chris says this about the film he’s going to be putting together:

What started this whole film idea for me was noticing how much my wife loves to blog and use Instagram. She’s always connecting with like-minded people around the country (and world), so I was really interested in digging deeper. I hope to sort-of take a visual snapshot of this time in history, when so many bloggers/Instagrammers are able & eager to put something out there and really shape culture in a positive way.

Chris gutted and renovated a vintage Airstream trailer and he’ll be living in it for the next 8 weeks as he makes his way around the country to 50 different blogger’s houses. When Chris is done editing, each of the bloggers involved will feature the movie trailer and outtakes on their blogs, as well as a link to where the finished film can be purchased on iTunes.

I’m not sure who all Chris will be visiting with along the way, but I did see that Kristin Rogers, Kelly from Kelly’s Korner, Erin from Living In Yellow, Ashley from The Vanilla Tulip and Lynsey from Five Chicks and a Farmer have all mentioned something about Chris stopping by on Instagram over the past couple of weeks! :-)

I look forward to blogging about our experience with Chris next week, and if you’re interested, you can follow along with his adventures on the road here:

Here’s hoping I’m not too weird next weekend- ha!

PS- We’ll be posting behind-the-scenes updates and pics over on Twitter, Facebook and/or Instagram while Chris is here, too!
