My Mr. wrote and recorded a song to our future ‘Sweet P’ (P is for Palmer!), and it’s called Love Collides. It’s an acoustic guitar-meets-piano style ballad. It’s very tender, and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed the process of creating it!

There’s a chance Sweet P is out there waiting for us right now (our age range is newborn-3 years), so we want to take this opportunity to thank you for joining us on this journey, and for being such a special a part of our little one’s story!

As the mother of an adopted son from Korea ( who is now 16 years old :0)…. This beautiful song brought back the memories of the hope and love I felt on my journey. Adoption has been the most profound experience in my life …a child that is born in your heart…my heart has never been fuller and the joy my son has brought to my life unmatched!
Love and prayers to you both!
Kevin
Thank you so much for the kind words, Hilary! 🙂
Flower Patch Farmgirl
Had to nose in here! 🙂 We have two boys from Korea (4 and 7). I love hearing of other Mamas who know “this” gift! 16 feels far away, but I’m sure it’s close than I might think. 😉 All the best to you and your son!
Katie
Soooo sweet.

This song will be an encouragement to millions! I pray you’ll raise all the money you need! I could only donate a little, but God can make a lot of littles into a LOT! He’s good like that! Always providing just what you need.
Each word of this song says LOVE!
Jessica @ Stay at Home-ista
Donating now. Thankfully my husband and I decided that my blog “earnings” are “fun” money, which for me translates to being able to give to causes that I care about. With 3 kids, I know how much your heart can feel like it’s bursting before you have your child. I know you will get your Sweet P, the right child for you.

Tina
That’s one of the prettiest songs I’ve EVER heard. I assumed Kevin was talented (!!!), but that’s as beautiful as anything I’ve ever heard. What a blessed journey you are on, and I can’t wait to see the family that God hand-crafts for you.
Kevin
Thank you so much, Tina! Your comment made me smile so big! 😀
Zanna
Tears, here. So beautiful. We have been home ONE month tomorrow with our two little loves from Ethiopia…4 years old & 9 months old.
Could we use this song for our Gotcha Day video?? We will, of course, give proper credit.
Kevin
Sure, I would be honored! 🙂
Zanna
Super! I will send y’all a link to the video when we get it done one day. Praying for your journey.

I can feel the love you already have for your future child in that song, along with hope and a beautiful future for all of you! While I don’t know either of you personally, I’ve been following you for a couple of years and cannot think of a couple more deserving of donations towards a cause like this!
Rayia

Holy cow, I am sobbing at my desk. How absolutely beautiful, you guys. As a new mom (my baby girl was born three months too soon this past March) my heart aches and sings for you guys on your journey to become parents. Also, as an adoptee myself… what a beautiful, beautiful, love song. I feel like MY Dad wrote it. XOXO, prayers for you.
Gina Trexler
Beautiful song. Your child will be so loved.

Can you imagine your little one is out there somewhere waiting for you guys!! That is such a neat thought, Wishing you all the best in this (hopefully quick) process!

Lovely. What a nice way to share your dreams & your talents. As for donations, I know that asking for them can be uncomfortable for a lot of folks — but one way to think of the process is as fundraising not for the two of you, and not even for adoption. You are raising money for your child, to provide your child with the best home that he or she could possibly have, to ensure that your child will have the richest love imaginable: your love. (Admission here: I am not religious, so I do not want to sound hypocritical, but I am guessing that you personally might also add God’s love to that last sentiment, of course.) People raise money for lots of things (causes, cures, animals & disasters, just to name a few); you are raising money for your child. I cannot think of anything more worthy of a donation.
Stephanie
From one adoption mom to another soon to be….may God Bless you through your journey. Your song brought tears to my eyes and wonderful memories of bringing home our 3 babies. Thank you for sharing your hearts. I hope that our donation can help…even in just a small way. I love the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel chapter 1. She wept and cried out to the Lord and He blessed her. She named her son Samuel, which means “God Heard”. My youngest is named Samuel. God heard me when I wept and I know He has heard you.
Francine Forman
So many prayers and well wishes sent your way. I am so happy to be a small part of the greatest gift He could ever give you. Looking forward to following your journey and sharing your story with others.
Mindy
Sweet P will be doubly blessed – a Daddy who prays and plays! So excited to follow along on your journey : )
Britany
What a great story you are beginning. A beautiful song, truly.
Carol Schneider
We have adopted two children through foster care and the Gospel is never so clear as it is through adoption. The fatherless become part of a family and those without an inheritance share in the riches of the Father’s family. So beautiful!! Love the song. Just beautiful!

I have enjoyed reading your blog for quite a while and my heart has been tugged over many things posted there. I appreciate so much your willingness to help others in every kind of facet in your life. The song I just downloaded is absolutely beautiful and I hope it brings your little one closer to you. I was studying in Genesis this morning about how long Abraham and Sara waited for their son and realized God’s timing is not always what we are expecting. Your reward for your faithfulness is being prepared for you while you wait. All my best!
Rosemary
Beautiful song! I am praying for your little family.
Rike
What a beautiful song. I have been following your blog from Germany. Best of luck with the adoption. You will be wonderful parents 🙂
Theresa
Good luck! How sweet!

Love your heart for adoption and God’s talent to express it in this beautiful song!!!
I am the adoption manager at Loving Shepherd Ministries. I help families at the beginning stages of adoption with research, information on eligible programs, agency research, etc. First, I wanted to say what a fantastic Christian agency that Lifeline is 🙂 I recommend this agency to our families.
Second, we have a Funding handout which lists organizations that help adoptive parents with funding for an adoption. If you would like this handout, please let me know.
Thanks and many prayers,
Jen
