Okay! For those of you who couldn’t join me for the Insta-story this past Wednesday, here’s this week’s “Let’s Go!” video. This week, we went to HomeGoods:
I forgot to save the last two videos to my phone, so it ends a little abruptly. Oops!
I’m thinking I may go to an antique store next week. Either way, I’ll do my best to share five ideas that are fun, affordable and easy to create no matter where you shop. Even if it’s your house! 🙂
Have a great weekend!

I just love this series. And you are so cute! Do you go out by yourself or with a buddy to do these videos because as much as we are all appreciating them, I don’t think I’d have the guts to do this by myself in a store lol!
Layla
I go out by myself. I’d get too distracted if I had someone with me! 😀
Dinelle
Love your tips, keep them coming.
Layla
Thank you, Dinelle! 😀

Very fun! Now I want to go shopping at HomeGoods!
Layla
Thank you, Angie! 😀

I am finding your advice so helpful. My house is filled with piles of “good” stuff that I find, but then I simply do not know how make it work within my home.
I also love your beauty posts. Would enjoy hearing about how you keep your hair looking fabulous! Maybe a video visit to the salon? 😉
Layla
Thank you, Kellie! And as for the hair tips, I really only wash it once or twice a week, so although that might sound nasty, I’m sure that has something to do with it! 😀
Louise
Can’t tell you how much I LoVe this series! It amazes me that you have five ideas to offer each time! Love it! Thank you!
Layla
Well, aren’t you the sweetest, Louise? Thank you! 😀

I’m such a sucker for smaller furniture pieces that have a purpose and are also decorative! I like to use small dressers as end tables, then I can store all kinds of things in them. I love this shopping trip idea! Very helpful info every time!

More of these videos, they are great! I’m dying over the Home Goods cabinet, I need that in my kitchen!

I was inspired by your visit to HG a few weeks ago where you found the spools of Christmas ribbon and twine. I wandered into my local HG and found an array of lovely plaids, jutes, etc. Then, behold! Tucked in the back was a red/gray gingham ribbon I’ve been trying to hunt down for weeks! Back home, I plopped the whole spool on a tray, put a little tree on it w a driftwood nativity on the side and wha-la! It’s just the pop of color the neutral space was longing for. Thanks for your tips, inspiration, and daily encouragement to your followers! Merry Christmas!

I just love your hair !! I love this series. Keep up the good work.

Great tips AGAIN Layla, thank you! You made a light bulb go off in my head that I need a shallow storage rather than a bench in my “dead space area” that just collects crud. Not sure what to call that section of my great room. When I find the perfect shallow storage (after Christmas shopping), I’ll email you my before & after so you can see you how much you really help us with your fabulous-ness.

your series with Home Goods makes this all so real as we also walk in and see some of those ideas you planted in our head. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. we are moving into a downsized situation after 34 yrs of accumulating just the right piece for our current home. With a nearby Home Goods I am sure to find just the right pieces for the new smaller home.
Merry CHristmas.

Layla, these excursions are so much fun! Thanks for sharing your great ideas with us. Your creativity is the best! Merry Christmas to your family!

Love the Lets Go! It’s concise but has a fun feel, good choice! Thanks for another trip to Home goods, that place has such great finds, but thank you for all the ideas and tips on how to put them to use!
Julia
I’m going to try the textured candle idea! And the shallow storage is something to ponder.
Thank you for the ideas!
Layla
Thank you, Julia! 😀
